After trying to get in to B&Q at just after 8:30 and deciding to come back home, instead of painting my fences I thought it’s about time to tackled the ivy!
A couple of hours later this wall is clear …
Me: I’ve tackled the ivy
Ivy: ‘I’ll be back’
There was soooo much!!
I rarely say this, and I do not say this lightly
DO NOT PLANT IVY!!!
I actually love ivy, but there is a space and place. If you are a keen gardener and have plenty of time on your hands – great! Don’t plant it to cover walls. There are so many better options that don’t ruin the wall in the progress!!
I am so excited that this poppy is about to open. I bought this perennial many years ago now and it’s does spread but it is so lovely!!
Another fury bud in front of the heavenly scented (Spanish) blue bells.
This yucca, which I’m not sure of the variety grows and grows!! Looking forward to the amazingly huge cream flowers!
Another unknown variety. I planted this palm some time ago and it’s growing well!
So with my new planter, I want to plant some interesting climbers to grow on the new rustic arches. My parents keep hacking back the chocolate vine that I planted some time ago. There is little left yet I dug it up and live in hope!
Saturday nights are Eurovision Again for us, here I am with a beer and pricking out the basil seedlings.
